Tour Code: Tour 1B+2A
Our experience will start with the visit of the "David’s Museum", the Accademia Gallery: get a closer look to the famous masterpiece by Michelangelo and then fall in love with Florence and its best attractions!
The David is 5.16 meters (almost 17 feet) tall and it’s made of a single block of marble from the Carrara quarries in Tuscany. Buonarroti’s genius exalts the small Republic (the David) versus the return of the Lordship, it’s a reflection about humanity and the virtue of men.
Before admiring the David in its museum, inside its specific tribune section, you will see the unfinished and fascinating “Prisoners Captives”. Our guides will show you the techniques used by the artist and the legendary story of these sculptures.
After a short break for lunch, we will continue in the afternoon with a walking tour of the historical center. During a charming itinerary you will discover the real soul of Florence and all the highlights and best attractions of the city, such as the Duomo (and Brunelleschi’s Dome), Palazzo Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio (the Old Bridge) and many romantic hidden glimpses.
Explore Florence downtown from an extraordinary perspective, this proposal is dedicated to those wishing to learn all the facts and secrets of two thousand years of Florentine history.
