Minivan pick up service and departure en-route to the countryside, to the villas once owned by the Medici family. Right outside the city gates, we find the fabulous country residences. These Villas bear witness to the beauty and comforts of life in a manor. Seeking to escape from the stress and strain of the city, the Medici princes fled to their luxurious palaces.
The Villas still preserve their splendid Italian style gardens as well as their highly elegant interiors, which include the period furniture and furnishings. The gardens, embellished with grottoes, fountains, and statues, are where the Medici relaxed away from their busy court in Florence: it’a real “wellness in Florence tour”!
The tour ends in the city center at about 5:30 pm. Don’t forget to explore the Medici’s Royal House in Florence too: Palazzo Pitti.
